FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
What is your photography style?
How many years of experience do you have?

Natural, honest and quietly thoughtful. I focus on capturing real moments, soft light and the small details that tell a bigger story.

I’ve been photographing for over 20 years. What began as a childhood passion has grown into a creative career, shaped by formal training and real-world experience.

Do you offer branding and logo design?

No, but we have wonderful connections to fellow creatives who specialise in thoughtful branding and logos. If you're looking for someone with a similar feel and values, just get in touch and we’ll happily point you in the right direction.

How do I book a project with you?

Start by sending me a message through the contact form or by email. We’ll have a chat about what you need, I’ll share a quote, and once we’ve agreed on the details, I’ll get you booked in.

How do you handle bad lighting/weather?

We're skilled in adapting to all lighting/weather conditions, using professional techniques and equipment to capture stunning images regardless.

What's your turnaround time for photos?

Final photos are delivered within 2-3 weeks, following a detailed editing process to ensure each image reflects the highest quality standards.

Do you offer packages or retainers?
Can I mix services together?

Most of my work is bespoke, but I’m happy to discuss ongoing support if you need regular help with things like social media, photography or design.

Absolutely. Many clients choose a blend of photography, design and copy to tell their story more fully. We’ll shape the project around what you need.

Can you send me more photographs from your portfolio?

Yes, my portfolio reflects a decade of capturing moments, showcasing a wide range of photography and not all is available on my website.

Can you help with photography outside your portfolio, like weddings or pets?

I focus on food, lifestyle and small business photography, but if you’re after something outside that (like weddings, families or pets), I know some brilliant photographers who would be a great fit. Let me know what you need and I’ll connect you.

Terms & conditions

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE WE BEGIN

Last updated: 21 April 2025
These Terms & Conditions form the basis of the working relationship between Pipit Creative (“we”, “our”, “us”) and you, the Client. By commissioning any services, you are agreeing to the following terms. They’re here to ensure clarity, fairness, and mutual respect from the outset.

1. Our Services
Pipit Creative offers a range of creative services, including but not limited to:

  • Photography (editorial, product, brand, lifestyle)

  • Design (web, print, social media)

  • Copywriting (document writing, social media, press releases)

  • Creative consultancy

If you’re unsure whether a request falls within our remit, just ask – we’re always happy to explore new ideas.

2. Bookings & Availability
All work is subject to availability. We recommend booking well in advance to secure your preferred dates, especially for photography or larger projects.

  • Bookings are confirmed once written agreement (via email or signed proposal) is received.

  • For ad-hoc services, we may work on an hourly or daily basis, depending on the task.

  • For ongoing work, a retainer agreement can be arranged by mutual discussion.

3. Fees & Payment

  • All fees will be agreed in writing before work begins.

  • Work is billed at an hourly rate unless otherwise agreed.

  • Photography sessions are charged per session or day, as specified in your quote.

  • Invoices are issued monthly, payable within 14 days of receipt.

  • Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month.

We prefer to keep things simple and transparent – you’ll never be charged for something you haven’t agreed to.

4. Expenses
If any additional costs are expected (e.g. travel, props, printing), these will be discussed and approved in advance. We will never pass on hidden costs.

5. Revisions & Edits
We want you to be delighted with the final outcome.

  • All quotes include a single round of revisions, unless specified otherwise.

  • Further edits may incur additional fees, but we’ll always let you know first.

  • If your brief changes significantly mid-project, we may need to revise the quote and timeline accordingly.

6. Turnaround Times
We’ll always agree a delivery timeline in advance and keep you updated along the way. Please note that delays in client feedback, approvals, or content provision may impact delivery dates. We aim to work collaboratively and flexibly but ask that communication is two-way.

7. Ownership & Usage Rights

  • All creative work produced by Pipit Creative – including but not limited to photographs, designs, and written content – remains the intellectual property and copyright of Pipit Creative at all times.

  • Upon full payment, the Client will be granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the final agreed deliverables for the specific purposes outlined in the project brief or invoice.

  • A Usage Certificate will be issued as proof of this licence, detailing permitted usage (e.g. social media, print, website use, duration, geographical limits if applicable).

  • Usage rights are not granted until full payment has been received.

  • Pipit Creative reserves the right to use the work in portfolios, marketing materials, and social media unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Please note that raw files (e.g. unedited images or working design files) are not included unless explicitly stated and agreed upon.

8. Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens – if you need to cancel or postpone:

  • Please give at least 7 days' notice for photography sessions to avoid a cancellation fee (50% of the session fee).

  • For larger projects, a cancellation fee may be charged based on the amount of work already completed.

  • If we must cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we’ll do our utmost to reschedule promptly or recommend an alternative.

9. Client Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth creative process, we ask that Clients:

  • Provide clear briefs and any necessary materials in good time.

  • Respond to communications promptly, ideally within 3 working days.

  • Respect the creative process and timelines discussed.

We work best when we feel trusted, respected, and part of your wider vision.

10. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Any sensitive information shared during a project will be kept strictly confidential. We comply with UK GDPR regulations and will not share your personal or business information with third parties without consent.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our control (such as extreme weather, injury, illness, internet outages, or global events). We’ll always communicate clearly and do our best to adapt.

12. Respect & Fairness

Pipit Creative operates with kindness and inclusivity at the core of everything we do. We expect respectful communication in all directions and reserve the right to terminate work with immediate effect if we encounter abusive, discriminatory, or unreasonable behaviour.

13. Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

14. Updates to Terms
These terms may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in our services or the law. The most recent version will always be available upon request.

If you have any questions about these Terms, we’re always happy to chat. At Pipit, we believe that clear expectations make for stronger creative partnerships.
